Non-toxic & Vegan Denise’s Green Watercolor

When Denise first curated her Earth Friendly Da Vinci Watercolor palette, we worked with Denise to create non-toxic Denise's Green, a rich green that can be used straight from the tube as a convincing natural green or easily mixed to create a variety of colors.

Mix Denise's Green with Ultramarine or Indanthrene Blue to create cool, deep greens and teals, or mix with Hansa Yellow Deep or Green Gold to create sunlit foliage and mossy greens. When mixed with Da Vinci Red, Denise's Green will morph into a wide range of rich browns and darks, or create a beautiful turquoise by adding it to Cerulean Blue Hue.

We handcraft paints in small batches and take as much time as we need to focus on materials and processes. For example, gum arabic is an essential ingredient in watercolor, but not all gum is responsibly cultivated and harvested. We make sure that our gum is sourced with great care and commitment towards local economic and social developments along with strict adherence to environmental protections.

We gladly do these things and still sell our paint at artist-friendly prices, because this is a way we can support and inspire artists with our art, which is making exceptional paint. We use only the purest ingredients when we handcraft all Da Vinci paints, and pigment ingredients are clearly listed on our website product pages and paint tubes so artists can choose which colors comprise their personal palettes. With the exception of Ivory Black, all Da Vinci watercolors, oils, gouache, fluid and heavy-body acrylics are vegan.
